Re: 2013 battery moved to firewall
My 2010 has this type of location for the battery. It's probably so that DIY have a harder time changing it out. I had to remove a bracket and had to use a step ladder and all of my muscle power to get that battery out of there. Meanwhile, there is an empty battery location box right in the front of the engine that would be so easy for me to get to. It really makes me aggravated that the engineers do this to us.

Re: 2013 battery moved to firewall
my 2000 is in the front of engine driver side GM has done this for over 70 yrs...
I noticed back several years ago it was moved to the pass side fire wall. this is up on the air intake of the ac system ect and in a hot area compared to the old location .. a hot temp on battery will kill it .. many have moved the battery but it will take wiring changes which must be done properly OR ??? much easier to replace or check battery in front .. I just replaced my battery very easy ... |
