Tamiya 1/24 PORSCHE 911 (933) Turbo GT2 Clubsport

Pandemic build #4. This is another quick box-stock build, these Tamiya kits are sure a joy to build. Everything fits so nice.

Slightly shelf-worn box - I had this kit for some time.

In the end, the hope is to have something close to this:

Old stash of Zero paints, Giallo modena (naturally), Tamiya white fine primer - go!

Re-scribed the panel lines, cleaned all the parts, wash, dry, two coats of primer:

Two dry color coats, one dry, one wet coat of Advantage 2k Clear:

Left the paint cure overnight, then quick polish to remove couple of dust specs, masked off the trim, painted black + body shell inside:

Re: Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 911 (933) Turbo GT2 Clubsport

Suspension bits were cleaned up and painted in base colors:

Same was done with interior parts and some exterior bits:

Then some detail painting and wash on the suspension parts:

Dampers painted:

Brake disks done:

The rest of the body parts painted black inside:

Then I switched to the chassis - engine block painted and some wash/detail painted:

Then I masked off and painted the floor:

Aaaand put together everything from the previous few pix:

Next - interior. It is rather spartan in this car, but that only made for a quick assembly. Dashboard:

Seats - decided not to mess with the real belts, just used kit decals which surprisingly look fine:

Assembled interior together:

The wheels were painted with Molotow gold marker (I drained the paint out of the marker and sprayed it with airbrush). They turned very good, not the best picture, though:

Couple of the mock-up pictures:

Finishing this up – added glass, door handles, mirrors, wipers:

Also did front and tail lights, added body badges and decals, front lip, and polished everything for the final time:

And the little 911 was done!
