Car won't start.
Hi,
I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander. I went to go to the doctor yesterday morning and it wouldn't start. Door chimes dash lights came on. Got a jump. Drove it for 30 minutes. Left it off for about 1/2 hour. Started right back up. Started out the next day, won't start...jumped it, waited about 10 minutes, drove to the store. Make it home. 2 hours pass, maybe. Went out to play a cd, dead again. I've checked all the lights, etc. Any ideas? Thanks!! |

Re: Car won't start.
Have the battery checked, along with the charging system. If they are ok, then something is draining the battery, or there is a short somewhere, but not enough to blow a fuse.

Re: Car won't start.
Daughters 2006 highlander same symptoms, actually thought it was the starter. Lights everything worked, and jump always got it going. Alternator was dead replaced and all fine. With todays electronics and computers not sure test is ok to perform. Used to be get car running disconnect battery if alternator ok car will run fine if not it should die. It could be just beginning to fail though. In her cars case there was a bearing noise coming from engine it was also a dead give away, hope it helps.
