downside to the MR2 is that is can only seat two....thus creating shitty insurance payments. mid-engined rear-wheel drive cars take mad skill to drive....especially if you some more power running to em....

depends which year... suspension was upgraded (if you can call it that) in 93 to make it more "user friendly"... its less prone to snap overstear sending you out of controll, but the 91 is faster if you are going to race it... the overstear isnt a negative on the car.. its a characteristic, that you just have to get used to, and it doesnt take long... plus mr2 turbos in decent condition usually run arround 6k... like you said, the down sides are the 2 seats and not much storage space but would definately be my pick between that and the miata

there is no question........... '91 MR2 Turbo owns Miata any day. In anything.

Re: $10k for the fastest reliable car?

well, not quite everything, the Miata has a little more trunk space, is easier to work on, and is a true convertible.

Re: $10k for the fastest reliable car?

It's also cheaper, easier to find in good condition, easier to drive, better on gas, and probably better on insurance.

Re: $10k for the fastest reliable car?

I'd rather have an MR2 Turbo than a Miata, too; just pointing out some obvious benefits of the roadster.

Re: $10k for the fastest reliable car?

you could get a supra. mustangs are cheap and decently fast. srt4's are only 20k from the factory so you could get a used one pretty cheap. or a celica gt4 but you will prob. never find one.
