Help with H23 swap
Ok. So I have an H23 motor. I want to swap it in my 6th gen civic. I heard that with this swap I will lose my AC and power steering. But I'm finding out that I should be able to keep my AC and power steering. does anyone know which is correct?? This is the only thing holding me back from putting it in the car.
So any info will help. Thanks guys Later, Becca

i have no idea if it is possible to fit all that shit in there but i can guarantee one thing: with all that weight your car is gonna understeer like mad and be awful at any turn (much like a muscle car). if you do that swap i'd definetley get rid of the ac and ps...not to mention getting really good shock/coilovers and a CF hood.

Iv seen an H22 in a 6g civic useing the placeracing mount kit.
He still had his power steering and A/C. It's a tight fit, and I think alot of the problems come from people not mounting the engine in quite the right place, the placeracing kit just leaves enough room around the engine.

The reason why you might not be able to keep p/s and a/c is because there is not enough room in the engine bay for the two. Other than that...if you can pound out some metal to make it fit then by all means go for it.

thanks guys. did a little more talking to folks. I know some people who say they can keep both. So i'm going to put it in and see if it works. I know eventually I will lose both (going turbo later) but that won't happen til i turn the car into full race.
So for now. H23 is going in the car. Thanks again Becca
