4.6 Sputtering Idling Rough
It just started yesterday as I was pulling in the driveway. I took it around the block and the CEL came on. Its got 90k on it so I replaced the spark plugs last night. I tested the primary side of the coils for continuity and they tested ok. Its runs a little better after changing the plugs but there is still a problem.
Is there a way to test the secondary side of the coils? What's the best way to determine which cylinder is causing my problem. Any help will be much appreciated. |

Spark tester
Scan for codes. There will probably be a P030X. The "x" can be cylinders 1-8. #4,5 and 7 seem to be pretty common.
