Titan turns over but won't start.

I have a 2009 Titan, it was running fine, today I tried to start it and it just "clicked". I turn on the dome light and the head lights and both came on fine. I tried starting it again and it started, but as I drove away it would accelerate only to idle speed, the gas pedal had no effect at all, additionally the SLIP light and the service engine soon light came on also. Once home I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and reconnected it, now it turns over but won't start at all. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Eric

How old it your battery? You need to load test your battery. Newer computers if they don't see a good 12v all kinds of things go wrong.

Re: Titan turns over but won't start.

Thanks for responding, could I just put the battery on the charger? Also, since the initial post I took my circuit tester to the fuse box and none were blow (the fuses physically looked correct) but not all showed the circuit complete light when I hooked the probe up. I was also wondering if the main fusible link on the positive battery cable might be the problem. Thoughts?

Thanks again.

Before you worry about fusible links. How old is your battery? You didn't answer. Putting a bad battery on a charger won't do any good. Your charger may should green. But drops below enough voltage for starting. You need to measure voltage battery just sitting and when you try and crank it. Clicking is usually a good indicator of a low voltage battery.
