Lightbulb Revell 1999 Chevy Silverado 6" Lift...again

A couple of people have PM'd me asking about the Silverado lift. I rebought the Revell Silverado kit today, and decided to make a lift, with a better explanations.

The insperation:

The kit:

The parts:

The tools:
-wire cutters
-testors glue
-grill lighter
-sand paper
-knife

The steps:
Get the lift blocks: They can be found on the sprues/trees

You will need 4 of these for the front alone.

Sand the ends smooth with 150 grit sand paper

Sand the lift block like this, you'll see why

Get upper A-Arms in place
Repeat what you just did, it should look like that^

Cut it where the knife is

Should look like that once your done

For the back of the lower A-Arm, you need another lift block. It needs to be cut at the angle you want your lift to be angles at.

Using the stock coil, cut it at the same angle as the lower a arm lift block

The spindle has to fit in that tiny gap.. lol, thats why you angle it..

This is what it looks like so far

After some adjustment it looks perfect..kinda..lol

Unfortunatley, the stock tie rod wont fit. So, with the grille lighter, you need to heat it, and bend it to the right shape. Not as easy as it seems..

The end result, for funt anyways.

Time for outback. Unfortunatley, the stock leaf springs are shaped like a sideways 7. It attaches to atop the fram instead of underneath, so you need to cut off the 7 hence making it shorter. You need some extenders:

Cutting off the "7" (blurry)

The springs with out the "7"

The extenders with lift blocks.

The end result

The very end results

Hopefully this clears stuff up

A pair of 36" "Formula Desert Dog PCV" from AMT'd Dukes Of Hazzard Daisy Duke Jeep. It's also a popular tire from alot of MPC kits.

I have done some extensive research, so, look for new and better parts for your off road silverado.. I really want to see someone else build one up. In the "lab" (as i like to call it) i have a 12" 2WD drive suspension lift, but this one you will actually be able to turn the wheels as in previous lifts, you hannte been able too, i have an 8" 4X4 (YES A 4X4 CONVERSION FOR YOUR 2WD TRUCK!), using transfer cases, drive shafts from the Revell civic, and a differantial housing from old rear axles. Also in the mix, i have some pre runner parts comming up, such as front skid plates and brush gaurds. And i will also have shock hoops availabe for all applications, keep an eye peeled, cause someday, their might be a 4x4 1999 Silverado here (there are know known 4X4 Chevy late model truck kits made unless you buy an AMT [which are 00P] kit and buy Perry's Resien conversion) and Maybe I can even start selling stuff.

I'm trying to find the model at my local Wal-Mart. As soon as I do, I'm going to make the truck with a lift and etc.
Would you mind if I made a duel exahust like you did? I wanted to ask just incase.
