No Capri category huh?
I learned how to drive on my dads 86' Capri 5.0 H.O. what a fun car. you could spin the tires right up into 3rd gear... it's still running with over 200k miles and get this.. THE ORIGINAL CLUTCH... i said it still runs, it just needs a lot of work

My first new car was a '74 Capri 2000. Thanks to the reclining bucket seats, it was the location of my first ... well, you can guess. One day the car was parked in a lot alongside a creek. Along came a flood, and by the time I got to it water was up past bottom of side windows. We pushed it to high ground, drained it, came back next day with wd40 and sprayed down wires, cleaned rotor, etc, and it started right up! Ended up having to replace carpet though. Ex wife wrecked the engine finally in 1981. I have never seen the crank rod punched through the side of an engine block before.

did they make a 1990 capri i havent found anything about one. Anyway, my friend has found a "90" capri that has been in a garage for 5 or 6 years without anyone touching it. what i want to know is what will he have to fix first and what he can look forward to fixing in the future. Thanx

Re: No Capri category huh?
If it has been parked for 5 or 6 years the first thing he will probably need is new tires because of the flat spot. Next in line would be fuel filter and the fuel left in the tank. It has probably gummed up everything so a thorough cleaning of the fuel system is next.
