Thumbs up Welcome aboard!

Outstanding work on that Porsche...makes me want to get my Speedster out. These kits are fabulous, if you have the patience and the time to do them right, which you are obviously doing!

Thanks fellas!

I'm not really an import modeler, but I still like visiting this forum to view all the nice work you guys do!

The photo album is there for reference purposes, and there are 100+ photos of 356's in there. Speedsters, Roadsters, A,B,C coupes, sunroof coupes, a speedster with a factory hardtop, a Carrera AND a Carrera 2, all taken by me! I visited a 356 Registry gathering in Charleston last year, which was a big help.

I also have a Fujimi Speedster sitting in my closet, which I'll finish after my Revell VW Bus.

Someone was right, the carpet is done using flocking material from Testor's (I tried to find detail master, but the hobby shop had Testor's in the right color).

So far, reference is key to an accurate model. I haven't done too much to build on the kit because it's so good, but the model doesn't portray the rubber tunnel mats except for around the pedals. So I built my own. You can see them in front of the front seats, and in front of the rears on the floor.

I'm also in the process of drilling out the front horn grilles, as the Carreras don't have the chrome there, and the kit makes look out of scale.

It's a great kit, highly recommended! It's taking me a LOOOOng time to build it, because I want to do it right.

Thanks for the comments!

Thumbs up

Super clean job you've done.
It seems like real seats, it's like I could sit on it.
Hope to see more of your work soon.

Deedlit

PS: I'm also a great fan of the 356 and of all Flat4 engines (bug, bus,...)
