Audi Sportquattro conversion
Hello
Started an conversion of a Revell Audi Rally Quattro in to the classic Sportquattro.
For those who are not Audi-freaks by nature, the Sportquattro was a street homologation version of the famous rallycar. Around 200 were made. The Sportquattro had 320 mm shorter wheelbase than the more common Urquattro coupe to give it better handling. It had carbon fiber body panels with wider fenders, differend hood with lot of airvents, etc. The engine was a 306 Hp 2,2 Liter 5-cyl turbo. 0-100 km/h i 4.9 sec. And all this back in 1985 !! It may not be bautiful, but its pretty fat in my opinion

So here are some pics of the conversion so far.
I have shortened the body, made the fenders wider, raised the windshield (the sportquattro actually had doors from the Audi 80 and a the steeper windshield angle so the rally drivers would see less reflections in the windshield..)

If you like building wings and spoilers you could go for the Pikes Peak version... that'd be a bit different. Good job so far tho

Great project and nice work so far.

There is a company in my town that will convert a 1:1 Quattro into a sport replica and they cut the body in the same way that you have.

I hope your going to paint it that nice red colour, that the sport came in.
