Re: Predictions for 2017
I'd love to see Hasegawa do a classic Maserati as a companion to their gorgeous 250GTO, like a Mistral or Ghibli SS.
From Revell or Moebius, a new 1971-73 Javelin is overdue. How long must we struggle with the Johan? From Tamiya... Jaguar D-Type or Aston Martin DBR-1 as a companion to the Gullwing, possibly a reissue of the MkII Jaguar and the Morgan Plus? From Fujimi... Nissan GTR GT3. A great companion to their BMW Z4, Porsche 911GT3R, and McLaren MP4-12C, especially after the 2015 Bathurst win.

Re: Predictions for 2017
Personally, I'd be happy for Hasegawa to re-release the Subaru Legacy and the early Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's 1-3. For Beemax to release the Lancia Delta S4 and the Audi Quattro S1 and maybe the Brabham BT52 that was promised.
I'd like to see the Opel Manta from Belkits come to the market and if they'd do a Ford Escort MK2 that would be nice to have. Only other things that would be a bonus is an RS200 and a Metro 6R4..

Re: Predictions for 2017
Revell AG - The Porsche 934 race cars are still coming. Seems like back to classic cars, or perhaps expanding the DTM series forward. There was talk that if the 570S sold well enough it could spawn further McLarens, but considering it was just released it might be to soon to expect anything of that nature in 2017. But this is the easiest one as they'll announce their 2017 slate in 3 days.
Tamiya - Honda/Acura NSX Type-R anyone? Aoshima - Fact - Diablo GTR (race car based on the GT), D1 Grand Prix HKS Toyota 86 Conjecture - '17 Nissan GT-R, '15 Crown Athlete (minor front end revision as was done to the Crown Royal Saloon), another version of the Pagani - there are parts on the runners that aren't used in the kit as issued. A Huayra BC or Roadster? Fujimi - AMG GT GT3 - there were 3D renders done for this already. Who knows when in 2017 it would come out since the '15 Toyota Alphard/Vellfire van kits seems to be stuck in a delay time warp. Hasegawa - Another variant of the N360 (still parts on those runners that haven't been used on either kit), and a 2nd variant of the new Jimny. Belkits - '15 & '16 VW Polo, and Opel Manta 400 x2. Be interesting if there's further product development at Nuremberg Toy Faire, since the Polos just need approval from VW and the Opel is finally going into the first stage of tooling. Beemax - Toyota Levin AE92 Gr. A, Brabham BT52, Quattro S1, Lancia Super Delta, Volvo 240 Gr. A. Also the next variant of the Civic, and two more variants of the BMW M3. |

Re: Predictions for 2017
After releasing the 300SL Gullwing, I still wait for Tamiya to make the most famous Aston-Martin ever - the DB5!

Re: Predictions for 2017
I wish 2017 will bring some or all of the following:
Revell Germany The Audi RS5 DTM and the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM. Add the Mercedes-AMG GT3 since they made the Mercedes-AMG GT street car. Why not a Audi RS4 and RS6 street cars? Fujimi If the Mercedes AMG GT3 doesn´t emerge from Revell Fujimi needs to step up to the plate. Tamiya Time for some serious FIA World Endurance Championship kits. Tamiya is the brand that can make this happen. I would like the 2016
Also the GT class front runners:
Reji Model The Abt-Audi TT-R from the 2002 DTM. Studio27 The Dallara F312 in Maccau livery from Prema Powerteam. |
