Out of the blue my door lock on the drivers side has stopped working properly. The problem has been diagnosed as the door lock actuator. Can this part be repaired, unstuck, or otherwise made to work or is the only solution to replace the actuator?
Usually it needs to be replaced. check the rods inside the door first,sometimes they bind or come undone.If they are good, replace the actuator.I had to use a dentist mirror to look the lock from behind and remove a wire fastener.Finally I removed and tested the lock actuator and it is not working.I will call tomorrow to the local Honda dealer,hope they have the actuator in stock
yea.. mine does the same thing. If I physically use my key to lock the driver side door.. i can use the button to lock the rest, and arm the alarm..........
