driver's side window won't go up 2000 LS power windows

okay here is the problem, the driver side window won't go up. the car has power windows. All of the other windows work fine. could I just take the power window motor out and just put the window up by hand and disconnect the power?

If you did that you would have to put the motor back because the motor also holds the window up. Before you open up the door, take a razor blade and slit the wiring tube that goes from the body into the door near the hinges. Many times a wire inside the rubber tube breaks due to the drivers door being opened and closed all the time. This worked for me on an Olds.
