1998 Chevrolet Astro Van shifting problem

I have a check engine light on and it refers to a problem with my 1-2 shifting in the transmission. Sounds like a vavle, switch, or solenoid problem. Has anyone ever fixed something like this before? How did you do it? Photos would help.

Are you experiencing any 1-2 shift problems that you can feel? (or just the code info?) The 4L60E tranny is notorious for a teeth rattling 1-2 shift that can usually be resolved with a valve body overhaul.
