Need to buy a car-comparison info?

Hi, my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville was totalled Thursday night. I walked away without a scratch, always felt like I had protection in that car--if I'd been in something smaller, I don't believe I would have been as fortunate.

Since I have to replace it, can anyone offer advice on something similar?

Drove Bonnevilles since 1993, so I'm definitely out of touch with car info.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

A Buick Park Avenue is another choice, they are a very nice driving car and sell very easily. They do have the 3800 in them too,non supercharged and supercharged.

Buick Park Avenue or LeSabre are a great choice. You could also consider a '00 Bonneville. They have a more modern design. The GXP version looks hot. All these cars have the 3800 series II V6 engine.

Re: Need to buy a car-comparison info?

Personally I like the old Bonneville design better (ending in 1999), but if you can handle the looks of the newer car, they produced them all the way up to 2005. You can go from the SE with the tried-and-true 3800 (now making 205 hp), or all the way up to the GXP with a 4.6L V8, a waste in a FWD car but more power if you want it.

If you are sticking to older cars look for a LeSabre or Park Avenue to be in a similar price range, and if you can go a bit newer Buick offered the Lucerne (excellent car) or the Allure. The Chevy Impala is a good buy as well, the 2006+ models in LT or LTZ trim are highway beauties and still get decent gas mileage.

I really am curious how you end up with 5 cars for sale, and all happen to be by 5 different manufactures ?

I have been looking for a friend for a long time for a Lada, your help will be appreciated.

What do you expect from a spammer?

How can you judge if he is a spammer or not w/o knowing?

Maybe a car seller?

That's easy for us Moderators .We have various tools available to us to help us determine if they are spammers. Besides, even if he was a car seller he is going about it the wrong way by posting in the wrong forum to begin with...

The question being asked " something similar " I agree with your answer 100%, " 2,709 at bat and a huge home run "

The 3800 series has been one of the best ever by GM with over 25 million produced to date.
The Buick is a step up from Cavalier and Sunfire and worth every penny. I love Buick's and will share with you a bit of history copy/paste from my website.

A young lad from Scotland settled in Detroit...his plumbing inventions are still used today... his obsession with engine's took over and in 1903 the Buick Motor Co was organized...William Durant ( founder of General Motors ) bought the Company in 1908 for $100,000...To date the Buick name has been stamped on over twenty-five million cars... David Dunbar Buick made bad investments with his $100,000 and passed away so poor even his phone was out of order...as for the founder of General Motors William Durant he lost everything during the depression and his last venture was opening a bowling alley in Flint 1940...

Funny how one of his last pieces of advice turned out to be good actually. With his 'career' now ended at 2,709 at bats.
