Need some Machine work

I know some of the scale model guys are in here. I'm looking for someone who can help me with my 1/12th projects. I need some wheel sleeves done. 4 of them for now. If anyone is willing to help at a reasonable charge that would be great!

Not to be difficult, but 'reasonable charge' is pretty subjective. If you have parts you really want, the easiest way to convince someone to help you might be to provide the most detailed explanation and description you can of the part. Most of us make parts purely for enjoyment- if it's not fun, we probably won't do it.

-If it's a simple quick/easy to do part, you might easily find someone willing to help you.

-If it's more complicated you might find someone who will decide that your part is interesting, and might be a fun challenge.

-If you can't provide everything that needs to be known about the parts, or design/guesswork is required to make it, you're going to have more trouble finding someone to make it. I personally would charge like crazy for this, if I was willing at all to try.

While compensation will very possibly be appreciated by whoever makes the parts, you may be unlikely to entice a hobby machinist to make stuff for you by compensation alone. Show us what you want/need- maybe it will interest someone.

Here is a picture of the wheel that I plan to re-create



Imagine this is a 2 piece wheel

Piece #1 the outer Hoop or sleeve
Piece #2 The inner Circle.

#1 is what I would need. I've got the OD that I need. The ID is really subjective. I'd like it to appear as realistic as possible. The Center portion wouldn't be constructed until I got the Outer sleeve's that way I can match the dimensions correctly. The most complicated part, in my mind, would be the lip needed to mount the center to.

It is almost to the point where I can't progress much further without these. If anyone is willing to give it a shot, give me a ball park on what it would cost, that way I have a budget to shoot for

What kind of precision are you looking at, and how large are they?? I could possibly turn the sleeves on a CNC lathe for you, but Im not sure what it would cost.

Could even potentially be able to CNC mill the entire thing. Just depends on the size, and that sort of thing. I enjoy doing this sort of thing, but I'd definitely charge for it. Would need as much info as you could give me to figure it out.
