Rover Metro 1.1 Radio bad connection

Does anyone know how to remove the radio from the dashboard to check the connections? At the moment the radio cuts in and out and you have to bang the dashboard with a closed fist to get it to work, until the next bump in the road, when it cuts out again. Thanks.......
