Question IS300 Question

Hey all,

I'm not really a Toyota guy, but i have a couple questions. One of my boys is supposed to be getting an IS300. He claims that he wants to keep it stock, but i'm gonna try my best to get him to set it up. I showed him the vid on Vision Boy of the turbo IS300. Now here is where my question comes:

What are the options for the IS? From what i kinda know, you can swap in either the 1jz single turbo motor or the 2jz twin turbo motor into this car. Is this true? I'm going to convince him to keep it simple JDM too, no rice.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
