it wasnt in TG mag, he has a column in the Sunday Times, at the back of the sport section (which is the auto section).. a recent TG issue talks about the way he destroyed the Vectra when it came out... apparently he would be lynched if he went to the Vauxhall factory! 
gotta love the guy!

I do prefer a Peugeot or an Alfa to a BMW or a Mercedes because it's more exclusive and these german cars are a little bit "cliché" even if they are very good.
DVSNCYNIKL : you could buy an Alfa 166 in the USA, it's sold there.

Its definitely better, but the lights are a little Japanesey... i'll have to wait to see it, but its an improvement

The new front end is extremely sexy indeed- the 166 should have looked like that from Day 1

Great forum and interesting set of views on a variety of cars, which got me chuckling because I have owned a 607 and a vectra, now I have an alfa 166, a mercedes slk and a volvo. Just don't ask..

My dad haves an alfa 166 from 1999 
its just amazing how it drives and looks
my mom haves an 147 amazing to and fast :P
its an 2.2
but alfa is just the best car ever :P
