Completed: Avex Dome NSX JGTC
My latest finished model is Tamiya's Avex Dome NSX from the 1997 JGTC season. I picked this kit up from eBay for under Ģ10, and intended it to be a good kit to practise some new techniques for some more challenging projects I had lined up. I didn't think it would cost too much for supplies either, until I knocked over a bottle of microset by accident onto the unused decal sheet This melted the unused decals and meant I had to buy a replacement set from F1 Specialites in the USA.
Apart from that mishap, the kit went together well with no real problems. The paint is TS-15 Blue and TS-26 Pure White. Over half of the car is covered with decals. The TS-15 is a good match for the blue colour on the decal sheet. Finished with Tamiya wax and compounds |

Very nice, stunning livery and beautiful finish. Did you enjoy the decals?

Superb looking build.. Looks fantastic.. I've knocked over micro scale bottles as well.. I knocked over a bottle of micro weld, all over the dinning room table.. I was lucky and the glue didn't mark the table at all.. Since then I've been VERY careful with their bottles..
I too got this kit of ebay for around Ģ12 I think, so you got a better deal, shame about your decals. But it was worth it, stunning looking model. |

Good job!
I have the same car my self and it's still waiting to get the last clear coats and a good rubbing. I know what you went through putting all the decals on, kind of tedious but the car is gorgeous so I think it pays of at the end. Anyway, your's looking very nice indeed. Niclas |

That looks great. Really nice job you've done.
I'm in the process of building the Raybrig NSX right now.

Canīt help it, but I think great decal jobs - like this one - are one of the appealing factors of modeling. Your job is a very decent example of top notch decaling.
Congratulations.

Woah, well done on the decals Spitfire! I think I would have 'left this on the shelf' due to the decals but you've done a stunning job.
