Thanks!
Prolly base coat of light gunmetal, midcoat of enough silver pearl for highlights, then clear.
That wierd red Porsche color for interior.

Not really a deadline but it will be ready for the ACME show.

Let's see, first post on A/F and you're accusing someone well-respected here of fraud, who happens to post his pictures on other boards under other names (including his proper name)...good going, Sherlock!
I also know him personally, and have seen his models in person. You're quite the detective now, aren't you?!
And welcome to A/F, sit down, read the site, learn who Veyron really is. Unless there's someone else posting his stuff as theirs, there is no fraud going on.

I apologize Veyron, but your idea is the type to be copied by others.

Re: Operation Porsche Carrera GT Coupe
They may try but I doubt very seriously that they'll do the same quality work as he does

That's for sure, and if you think about it, when someone "copies" or borrows an idea for their model, I don't think of it as stealing so much as flattery. I recently saw a picture of a very similar Mustang Mach III coupe like one I built about 10 years ago from the convertible concept. Doesn't bother me a bit, they did a nice job and it wasn't identical.
And Veyron knows I've got ideas for a coupe version of the CGT as well... It's getting to the point you can't tell my models from his from CADguy's...people in the club can't always tell who built what. We feed each other's insanity, and feed off each other's insanity .

Beautiful concept.....
I've been following your conversion and it's turning out great.
While on the subject of the Tamiya Carrera GT, does anyone have English translations for the Acu-Stion p/e parts? I've managed to get both the screens and p/e detail set but I can never quite figure out how to use all the little fiddly bits. It seems a shame to leave anything on the fret. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt! It's me Bob Downie (in case you didn't know my handle). Welcome to A/F! There's a guy here named Layla's Keeper who is dying to know when a particular MGB-GT will be re-hatched (bad pun ).
Sorry, can't help w/the parts request.
