So far they're 4 models to do also!
Ok let me to introduce the "starter kit" ![]() ![]() ![]() and few parts would be cannibalized (ok I admit, I'm cheap, read cloned..) from the following great kits: ![]() Not to mention..... the starting point: ![]() like you'll see this Esci 934 is spoiler and fender less....

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
Ok: two words about my choise of to use the Fuji EM kits insthead the Esci 934: EM 911's offers multiple options combining modulars parts like spoilers and bumpers, and much details so....
So far, a plan: 911 Esso: Base is a 911 turbo (kerbside one) - Almeras front spoiler, modified from the 934 one - 934 fenders - duck tail spoiler 911 Gitanes: base is the 911 Turbo EM - 911 '74 RS front/back bumpers - Almeras front spoiler, modified from the 934 one - correction on turbo "strange" fenders - 911turbo back wing 911 Martini: base 911 Carrera (narrow) - scratch bull bars/grilles 911 Rothmans Group B: base is a 911 Turbo '85 - Modified back wing - '74 RS back bumper - Turbo front bumper

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
911 Esso:
I started with the front spoiler: the kind Almeras spoiler was created modifing (width and high) the 934 one, inlets was modified.. ![]() A first mock-up: ![]() ![]() Kind plan also for Gotti rims! And now, speaking of 934.... something for my friend Andy: I think you all will guess next our epic shared thread... ![]()

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
I done something special on the Esso car for glass gaskets: thinking of use PE gaskets on 911S/RS/RSR and 911R I re-engineered the kit to house spare gaskets with a surround (like resin kits), obviously in this one I wouldn't use PE gaskets, too flat, I'm scratchbuilding mine by plastic:
the surround: ![]() the gasket (back) by 1mm diam rod (sanded then to obtain a semi-circular section) ![]() and the same job in front ![]() Same threatment on sides, where I was able to reuse kit's gaskets (but there I'll sure use PE gaskets, they're flat also on real thing) ![]() ![]() Fuel cap was drilled out (hard to rescribe) and filled with 2Kputty and plastic I also sculpt the inner surfaces, but I'll probably use it on a future street 911 (911S?) ![]() So I started to work on the Gitanes Carrera: body is the wide kind (turbo) and fenders are just painted on the original car (bolt on only a recent replica), but Fuji turbo looks a bit strange since the shapes are extruded starting from the narrow body, so I tried to modify in the typical rounded profile ![]() Than I worked on the body: this would be a full open model (and a test for future's 934s... ), all inner surfaces was recreated with 0.5mm thick styrene![]() ![]() Door's panel still needs all its details ![]() ![]() And finally a test with RSR (cut) bumpers, Almeras splitter and turbo wing: ![]() ![]() And speaking of the SC/RS I worked on the '85turbo spoiler cutting and sanding until I got a convincing "carrera" wing, the kind with wide grill ![]()

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
I will definately follow this scratchbuilding and kitbashing madness since I have some of the decal sets myself. I have been planning the Esso-Build as well as the Almeras build since awhile now. Luckily I can copy a lot from your ideas - except you claim some sort of copyright on them.
Man, I´m excited. Thanks for sharing this. Robert

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
Nice scratch work. Way to show that plastic who's boss. For what it's worth, Evergreen Plastic sells a 1mm half-round cross-section (Item No. 240) if you get tired of making your own.

Re: N.E.S. Rallye Porsche 911 POKER!!!!
Gio, those are awesome! I have all those kits and decals and was planning on sometime or another doing these for my Porsche collection. This will be fun to watch. I do wish someone would come out with a nice 934 or 935 transkit for the Fujimi kits, hint hint...
