1/18 Maisto 350Z (and mostly all Maisto) wheel removal

1/18 Maisto 350Z Wheel Removal

REAR

1. Remove the muffler by popping it out with a flathead screwdriver:


2. Remove the exhaust pipe going down the middle of the car with flathead screwdriver:


3. Remove screws that hold in rear axle:



4. Remove the piece that holds in the rear axle:


5. Remove the rear axle:


6. Find a screwdriver that will fit snug in the hole where the screw goes in the axle:


7. Use the screwdriver for leverage and pull the wheel away from the axle. (*PULL IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS DO NOT BEND OR TWIST OR YOU WILL BREAK THE AXLE*):


8. This it what you should end up with in the end (If you don't break anything):


9. Repeat Step 7 for other side.

10. Put the rear back together.

FRONT

1. Remove the screws that hold on the front wheels:



2. Pull out the piece that holds the front spindles in place:


3. Pop the piece that connects the steering wheel to the wheels:


4. Pull out the front wheels:


5. Separate the spindle from the steering link:



6. Get a screwdriver that will fit in the hole for the spindle:


7. Use the screwdriver for leverage and pull the wheel away from the spindle. (*PULL IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS DO NOT BEND OR TWIST OR YOU WILL BREAK THE SPINDLE*):


8. This is what you will end up with:


9. Repeat step 7 for other spindle.

10. Put it all back together.

They are from CRAFTSMAN, got them at Sears.
