[WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

I was recently asked to build a Fujimi 1/24 Scuderia by friend.
Some promising 'solid' award from him will be given after a nicely finish .

This Scuderia from Fijimi is indeed a masterpiece, it's now very rare to get, and even if you see one sold on ebay, probably have to pay more than its originial price.

well, he asked to build it without any additional detail-up ass. So, with care and patient, a perfect finish could be achieved.

OK, some progess:
starting with body,.... routine followed...

body was processed as whole to which side bumpers attached and stengthed with expoxy putty.

primer applied wich multi-layer to thick the body add more metal quality sense.

well, all for this week. BTW...the Reventon project has to be paused for now since 'solid' award temptings....

Re: [WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

some new progress, guys

the body inside was painted black

all engine parts together, will add wires to add some detials

above the grey primer, two coats of RiceBox white primer

after primer cured, sanded with 2000#
now, 4 coats of mist RiceBox Rosso Scuderia with 5 min apart, and finally a wet coat of it.

surface comes with bit orange-peel as expected...like what you will get from finisher's paint, I will leave it for the weekend and sand followed with Finisher's GP1 clear coat.

Re: [WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

update time... the engine bay is now complete, body with GP1 ready to polished, hopefully I can finish building the kit in two weeks time

painfull...

Decal for this kit is the thinnest i've seen so far, just applied with little mark softer will turned to be bit transparent

Absolute shinny!!! I just love the Finisher's Uther*$(% clear coat

Re: [WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

the front badge is also too high up.
the base is level with the end of the stripes.

Re: [WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

yes, quite a obvious mistake i;ve done... but after i found it out, GP1 clear coat was already on, so...again...nothing I can do about it.

Hopefully my friend will accept it, anyway, if some day i can build my own Scuderia, it will be better than this

Re: [WIP] Ferrari F430 Scuderia FUJIMI

Well. I haven't used GP1 before but you may be able to sand down the hood just enough to remove the decals. Then smooth it out and re-clear it.
