need help identifing a 16g turbo please read asap!!

ok..there is a guy here in my home town who wants to sell me his used 16g ..i looked at it and it is pretty clean ..no shaft play, but i want to make sure that it is a 16g. what do i need to look for to id it? please help i do not want to get screwed. thanks guys!

look up the size in diameter when i bought mine it said the diameter on a ebay auction it might looking pretty gay whooping out a ruler... only way i can think of. dont buy shit from other people i went to mr. gatti's and won some tickets and chose some sea monkeys got home did all the dirrections 7 days later no damn white specs im pretty t/o-ed

Look at pics of 16Gs and compare it to the turbo in question. Count the blades on the compressor wheel, note the angles, etc. For example, a 14b's blades are all the same height, while the 16g's blade heights alternate high/low. The vfaq has a turbo comparison page that should help. To see what the housings look like, check out any DSM vendors site for pictures.

I dont think you can easily tell those apart by looking at it. The wheel is the same configuration, just differen in size, IIRC>
