loosing mind with dead 87 pa
alright, 87 3.8 multiport pa died and would not restart. found no spark and in checking ckp found a bent fin on the balancer that wasn't passing through the ckp. replaced the balancer and ckp. now has spark, and injector pulse, cranks but wont start. no codes present. thought maybe it jumped time, but shy of tearing down timing cover, wasn't sure how to check, so i removed valve cover and rotated engine to tdc based on removing the #1 plug, and both valves were closed. i know this isn't the greatest way to check, but it was the best I could come up with. going to get a fuel pressure gauge tomorrow, but the plugs were wet, and I can smell fuel when I open the throttle body, the pump runs, and there is fuel at the rail, so I don't think this is the problem, but I'm short on ideas now. What should my pressure be? Can a bad MAF keep a car from cranking? Any other ideas?

Re: loosing mind with dead 87 pa
Unplug the maf see what happens, you may have spark but not strong enough, try starting fluid see if it kicks, also. Plugs could be soaked , lots of issues are possible.

I agree with Max, try a new set of plugs.
