How to replace fuel solenoid/valve?

My '08 Prix was getting "check gas cap" warnings for the last week, and the check engine light came on. It has been smoke checked and diagnosed with a leaking fuel vent valve solenoid. All I know about this part is that it's near the filler neck. I was wondering if anyone had instructions on the replacement procedure?

Thanks!

i had to do it to my 1997 pontiac, its really easy, just locate it. disconnect the wires and hoses. dont mix up the 2 hoses you dont want them on backwards ones vacuum and the other is the fuel vapor.

Re: How to replace fuel solenoid/valve?

I case anyone's wondering about this job, here's how to do it:

Rear wheels up on ramps. Remove single bolt through bracket that attaches the fuel solenoid assembly. Once bolt is removed, it can be lowered, and you can easily unclip the wiring harness connector. The long tube on the assembly is pushed into a larger tube over by the fule tank - just work it free. Assembly is reverse of removal.

Took less than 10min.
