vibration @ 5k

so i got a 01 gsxr 750, and recently put a cage on it. and just a couple days ago when i tightened it down all of a sudden i got lots of vibration throughout bike, mostly in handlebars. any thought of why this would be happening is appreciated.

Re: vibration @ 5k

I assume you are talking about a cage for stunt riding ?? some times those cages use the motor mount bolts. when installin a motor onto your bike there is a specific order to tighten the motor mounts.

long story short, you most likely caused you engine to be slightly out of alignment when you tightened the cage bolts...

Get a service manual, loosen ALL motor mounts in the sequence shown, and then re torque ALL mounts in the sequence shown.

Hope all goes well !
