2005 Camry's heater & air conditioner won't work
The heater and air conditioner in my 2005 Camry won't turn on. When ever I turn the dial nothing happens, the fans don't turn and no air comes out. I've check the fuse and it looks good, sometimes the heater and air conditioner will work, but its few and far between. I am guessing that there's a loss cable behind the dials. I need to get behind the dials to inspect, but I have no idea how to do that. This is the area that I need to get behind.

There are two screws underneath the trim panel that hold that system in. To access the screws, you apparently have to remove the upper console.
Download the FSM for your vehicle from the sticky post at the top of this forum. See the section under Heater and AC, as well as Instrument panel.

"I've check the fuse and it looks good"
Brian has given you the best advice. Just to add an FYI to his suggestions, fuses can look good and still be bad, or can even be loose in the fusebox. I would remove the fuse and check it for continuity with a volt ohmeter or if one is not available, just replace the fuse with a known good one. This would be a cheap and easy thing to do before going on to dismantling anything. Mike |

It's not likely to be a bad fuse if it occasionally works. May be a bad connection somewhere....
