Re: Outlawing "After Market" Auto Parts!

I think these politicians go out of there way to 'one up' each other on their stupidity.

Re: Outlawing "After Market" Auto Parts!

I has heard something simular to this in Indiana last fall when I was at a part store. They wanted me to sign something to stop this from happening here.

As if you couldnt buy parts on the internet from just about anywhere. Politicians have all the brains.

The sad thing is, when they figure that out, they will make it against the law to even have those parts, no matter where you bought them!

Yeah I could see that happening.
But if someone does have aftermarket stuff, that isnt on the outside, you'd be safe untill someone pops the hood.

IMO this wont happen anyway, to many parts dealers out there who will fight it all the way.

I guess the thing I heard last year wasnt just about parts, it was also about stopping the public from working on thier own rides. Now that's something I could see the stealerships pulling to rake in some extra money.

Always someone somewhere trying to start a revolution...

Re: Outlawing "After Market" Auto Parts!

They can pry my aftermarket parts and mods out of my cold dead hands. I'm still glad I do not live in Oregon, California or other green weenie states. And I could care less if they are CARB approved.

The part of the bill on tires is really dumb and inane.

I hope not, but the same government mindset has detroyed the lumber industry out here even with people fighting it.

I take it you are referring to "Public transportation" Yes here in Portland they do everything they can to make it hard to drive your own vehicle so you will take Public transit.

As mentioned earlier, keeping these idiots out of elected positions requires "educating the voters before the election".

The problem with that is... the majority of the voters are un-educatable, (is that a word???), that's how got where he is. He's like a turtle on a fence post: noone knows how he got there and he sure as hell didn't get there by himself.

Before Obama leaves office it will probably be as green as Oregon is now! (and Oregon will be even greener!)

The one thing I absolutely HATED traveling through Indiana was those toll turn pikes getting on the freeway! At least in Oregon you don't have to carry $5.00 in change just to get on I5!

Fortunately Indiana only has a few toll roads. But, you get out on the country roads and you can drive forever without a curve. Corn on one side of the road....beans on the other.

Up in the nw part of the state they used to grow a lot of hemp during the war. When I was in high school I recall seeing pot growing for as far as the eye could see. for years after they quit growing the stuff it was just growing wild. They couldn't kill it as weeds are hard to get rid of completely. Ah the joys of youth! I wonder if it still is a big thang up there.

Now THAT'S what you call GREEN!

I dont mind being a green state, Im sure it would save us tons-O-ca$h! I mean I do what I can, recycle/reuse, though I wouldnt go outa my way to pay more for something "green".
And why does it cost so much to be or build green, when most of the products used are recylced(free) ? Isnt American Great ! At least we have a choice, for now.

Yeah I dont see many toll roads around here, just interstates. Been on more toll roads in Kentucky then up here. Though they all do suck! Its been a long time since Ive seen one, just remember paying to get on them, and paying agian when we got off. It was a great highway with no police!
