97 Rodeo Issues
OK, I have a 97 Isuzu Rodeo, about 98k miles on it. My son and his girlfriend went to use it tonight, and they came back complaining the break went all the way to the floor.
I went out to take it around the block to test it, and the first thing i noticed was both the emergency brake light was on, and the Rr. ABS light was on. I took it around the block, and yes the pedal did go to the floor. I brought it home and parked it and immediately noticed a wet spot on the ground where the truck was double parked in the alley next to our house. We got a light to shine under the back of the truck to find the inside half of wheel was completely wet. Im not sure if brake lining went and its brake fluid, or what, as I am pretty well a novice at stuff like this. I know the last week the wheel area has been making a sound like metal rubbing. I just had the brakes redone, rotors resurfaced and new pads i believe it was about 9 months ago. The other thing is, our town is now using a salty brine to put on the streets before bad weather hits. Is it possible all that salt could have eaten brake lining away? Again, i am not knowledgable with this, so I am just grasping at straws here. I's appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks, Keith |

Re: 97 Rodeo Issues
Leaking brake line or caliper. You'll have to take the wheel off to get a better look. Wipe it down and find the source of the leak.

Re: 97 Rodeo Issues
Take it back to who did your brakes. If you are not the mechanic type don't mess with the brakes. You could kill someone
