I just bought a 98 dodge intrepid yesterday it ran fine all day yesterday and ran fine almost all day long. Around 6-7 tonight it just the engine just shut off but the lights radio were on. I slowed down to a stop. tried to start it you can here it try to crank but it wont start. The lights will dim i little. If u wait about 5 minutes it starts back up this happen to me 3 times tonight i have no idea what to do . please help.

have you changed gas filter lately and air? your fuel pump might be going out if you replaced pump and all i said and still no start. could your coil pack if or the module under neath coil pack. if you can go by auto zone have them check coil it's free.....good luck.....

Does not have a coilpack,has the coil on plug ignition system.Cam sensors are known going bad too.Do not ever trust AutoZone for testing anything ,99.9% wrong.I have seen this,a Jeep that they said it was a bad alternator and they were wrong.It was the battery and the alternator was good.Same with a customer that brought in a battery,AutoZone said it was junk and were wrong again,needed to be charged.Anyone at AutoZone does not know what they are talking about at all and are not certified to do this.
