2003 steering worries after accident

I've spun out on the freeway going about 60 and wiped out into the mound of snow piled next to the median. There was no body damage but I did mess up the edge of one of my rims. I got that replaced and the wheels aligned and it still seems to pull to the side I hit after the accident. Also I have a power steering leak. I'm really worried that I messed up the Power Steering rack. How likely is this or could the leak just be coincidental?

Welcome to AF, yes you could have damaged the rack, from here there is no way to answer your question thoroughly, additional diagnostics are required onsite.

Re: 2003 steering worries after accident

Will it be obvious that an accident or pothole caused the leak if that is what caused it or will I not be able to tell? I'm guessing if the rack is bent it would be pretty obvious that the accident caused that caused that. Also, will damage to the rack be easy to find?

Unless the rack shows external damage there is no way to determine if the impact to the wheel transmitted some force to the rack causing the leak. Someone knowledgeable has to look at this for a proper answer here.
