Angry Questions on cost for repairs

Need new trans and radiator.. Live in greater detroit metro area... Any thought on repair prices, quotes I have recieved seem high..
Salvage trans and new radiator 1650.00$
Remanufactured Trans w/ 12month 12,000 warranty and new radiator 2250.00$
Am I getting screwed or what?

Re: Questions on cost for repairs

What year what engine and what transmission?
Check you local parts places on brand new rad prices.

Gm has some good deals on gm factory rebuilt transmission.
3 year 100K parts and labor warranty. plus cash rebates.

One year or 12 K is not a very lon warranty.

Call you local GM parts place and be sure to ask for a discount.

What is the problem on your old transmission?

Is the transmission burnt up or what is the problem on transmission?
Has it been checked out?
Any codes?
Any slippage?
