04 Rodeo 4wd Problem
I have an 04 Rodeo. now its the 2wd with 4wd. The car drives perfect in 2wd but when i switch into 4wd a loud ticking noise happens when i drive and only goes away if i go really slow (less than 5mph +/-) when i accelerate it gets louder. 4wd still works but what is that tick? its really loud! should i be worried about it? Any help would be greatful! Thanks!!!

Re: 04 Rodeo 4wd Problem
Where is the sound coming form? The front end, propellor shaft, trans, or transfer case? Mine made a sound like a playing card on a bicycle, hitting the spokes,(lke we did when we were kids) in the transfer case. It would get louder and faster as the speed increased. The dealership had to relpace the complete transfer case under warrinty. By the way mine is the 3.2 with automatic transmission. Andie
