New clutch?
Hey guys, Im not familiar with this forum cuz I drive a 3000gt. But my friend just messed up his clutch in a 2001 mercury cougar. If he were to replace it with an aftermarket performance clutch, what's a good brand for him, and how much (ballpark) would it cost? thanks guys

Re: New clutch?
Just upgrade to an SVT Contour clutch. It's probably more than enough for your friends cougar and is imho is more reliable than any aftermarket clutch for the Contour/Cougar on the market. Cost is probably $300 from the dealership.
Labor...I would say $700 or so. If you want more opinions, ask the cougar owners over on newcougar.org. Most of them will probably recommend the SVT clutch or a SPEC stage 1.
