I need a step by step process for removing the dash to get to the heater core to replace. I have a 2000 grand am Gt. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated as I'm kind of in a bind right now and really need to get this fixed. Thanks.

Re: Removing Dash?
Sorry. Again its the dash I can't find any information on removing. Not the heater core.
I'm not too experienced in cars, so all the help would be great. |

Re: Removing Dash?
You dont need to remove the console or glove box to change the heater core.
But the console is held with several screws. First you need to remove the shifter, a horseshoe clip is in the front of the handle, it just pulls out. You must pop the top off the console to access most of the screws. Thier are 5-6 clips along the longer sides holding the top of the console on, a panel tool wroks best. Inside the arm rest compartment are more screws. The glove box is just held in with screws around the opening. Good Luck
