05 Civic disc brake pad removal problems

How do I remove the disc pads. There are (2) 12mm bolts that are hard to backoff but don't seem to turn freely up as I turn them in a counterclockwise direction. That leads me to believe that they shouldn't be removed. There are also (2) 19mm bolts that hold the whole caliper assembly to the spindle but they are really on tight and this Southern Californian car has no corrosion.
Do I remove 1 or 2 of the 12mm screws or the 19mm screws in order to get to the disc pads?
Thanks for the help.

hey! okay so, the 2 12MM bolts once those are removed you can take out the brake pads. Those 2 19mm bolts that hold the caliper on.

So just take out those 2 12mm bolts and you will be golden!
