I have the same problem as the previous thread but with a 98 grand prix but havnt found a fix as of yet..it was totalled out in a accident back in october 07...i have it stored for parts...wen i was parking it back in oct. i suddenly lost ALL power to EVERYTHING and had the problem with the key locking in the ignition...it hasnt run since..i tried jumping it last week to no avail.... i have no idea what to do next...

You need to find out where the open circuit is in the power supply. Cable ends, battery cables, bad connections would be a good start.

My battery cable broke off and it did the same key lockup thing. Make sure the battery has enough charge and the cables are intact.
