Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
FINISHED IT!
This is the Yellow Bellied Racing Cousin to my Black Beauty(soon to be finished). Here is the WIP thread This is the Revell C6R built OOTB. I added tow hooks, roof top aerial and bonnet clips. I custom mixed the paint and used three part clear Automotive Ureathane to seal the decals in. There was no polishing after painting. The kit is nice. Fit's together well. (I have the BBV decals to do the '07 version. ) I will be entering it is a local comp here in Perth, WASMEX. Don't really care how I go. I am just happy I am finishing models again. On to the pics..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll try and take better outdoor pics in the future. Hope you guys enjoyed them. Regards Nenad

Very nice build.
There is a bit of something on the rear wing, but the rest looks very clean! |

Glad to see finished model Nenad, looks cool, did you change ride height or anything to wheels set up. Looks very good and that is something I am not used to see from Revell

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Thanks guys.
jano11 - yes there is something on the wing. Oh well. Sasa - Thanks man. Glad(real glad) to finish something again. Was in a major slump there for a while. I didn't change the ride height at all. Looks ok to me at the moment. Might lower it on the next two I do. (BTW, I finally finished the Blue Lamborghini Diablo VT this week too.)

Looks very good to me. I have an early version of this corvette, but I think the 2005 version is simply beautiful. Congratulations.

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Just got back from WASMEX earlier.
Here are the models I entered into WASMEX (Western Australian Scale Model Expo) this weekend here in Perth, Western Australia. Some of you will be pleased to know that The Yellow Bellied Cousin took second in the Auto OOTB/Enhanced class. The Focus took third. The winner was a Hasegawa 246 Dino. I ended up displaying my CLK-GTR at the IPMS Model Club stand. The Diablo & Black Beauty didn't get anything. I received two nice medallions for my efforts. When I get a nice display cabinet, I intend on displaying them alongside the respective models. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Overall I fell quite good about the results. I want first place though. (and I want to take out some higher classes too!) Anyways, Thanks friends for your kind comments and feedback during this whole process. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Cheers Nens (PS- I have higher res shots if anyone wants them.)

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Dear Nenad,
The Dino 246Gt was mine. It is actually the Fujimi kit. I was very surprised to win with this kit. It is actually only the second time I have entered anything into a competition and thought the competition was very tough when I saw them - especially the cars that turned out to be yours!! I was also very impressed with the CLK on the display stand - I have one in my stash that I look forward to getting into. I look forward to seeing more of your work here and in person in the future Cheers Anthony Fanchi |

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Hi Anthony,
Well done & congratulations on first place. The Dino was very nice. Quite a little kit. This was my second comp. I entered almost on a whim. Decided in late July to enter after looking on the WASMEX website. What club are you with? Was that you I was talking to after the comp asking me about my seatbelts? I loved it and will be making sure I enter next year. ![]() Nenad

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Hi Nenad,
Thanks for your comments I dont belong to any club - just a solitary modeller enjoying himself and whose work is really only seen by the family. I have been visting this website and many others over many years but have never got around to posting any of my work. I will get out the camera on the weekend and see if I can work out how to post images. I didnt get a chance to speak to you on Sunday. I was hoping to when collecting my models after the awards (the Renault RE30 was mine as well) but unfortunately missed you. Maybe next time. You are right - it is great fun entering the competition and I will be doing it again next year. Cheers Anthony |

Re: Revell C6R LM 2005 GT1 Winner
Hey Anthony.
I loved the RE30. To tell you the truth, I thought that would have figured in the placings. Nevermind. It's all just for fun. I know I had fun. I'll PM you with my email if you want to chat.

You made an excellent model out of it. You finished it and built a great looking C6-R. Regards from Belgium |
