Changed spark plugs and now it stalls?
I am slowly completing a tune-up on my 04 TB and today I changed the spark plugs. The car now idles at a very low rpm, around 600, and when I turn on the ac it throttles up and down for a few times then eventually stalls. Could changing the spark plugs have created this issue and how do I fix it?
Thanks -pptman |

Re: Changed spark plugs and now it stalls?
Welcome to AF. Unless it now has a misfire, no. Clean the throttle body, see what happens.

Re: Changed spark plugs and now it stalls?
Thanks for the welcome. I cleaned the throttle intake today and also cleaned the fuel injector. The amount of build up on the back of the intake was very minimal at first sight but after cleaning it and noticing the difference in performance I am amazed at how build up can cause such turmoil in the engine. Thanks for the advise and to anybody who needs to do the same procedure it is much easier to just remove the intake valve to clean it. Then put it back on and run the engine and give it a little gas, when the valve is slightly open spray the cleaner into the valve for about 12 seconds. I did this 3 times.
Thanks pptman |

Re: Changed spark plugs and now it stalls?
spark plugs are easy to crack and you dont even know it and check for vacuum line knocked of oh also there often sensors either left unhooked or hooked up wrong due to identical connecters
