Hey everyone, I've been in the process of restoring my Chrysler Lebaron Conv.
I'm doing all the prep work right now to get the car ready for paint. I.e. sanding the whole car, primer, seal coat, and filling in a few dents. We don't have a maaco here and the only place in town charges a lot of money. I'm hoping I can do all the prep work and just get them to shoot it. But if they are still going to charge $2,000 and up, I rather attempt to paint the car myself. I have limited experience with painting a car. How difficult is this? What's a good spray gun to use, paint, etc? Worse case scenario is, I drive 4 hours to the closest Maaco and let them spray it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. |

Re: Paint Job Help
I have heard mixed reviews of doing it on your own. I know that if you preped your car before you took it to the shop, you could save yourself some money.
