02 Escape 3.0 Vacuum circuit.

I repaired a separated vacuum connection in my daughters Escape but I don't know what I repaired. I've been all over the web no luck. As I stand in front of the car facing the motor the vacuum circuit connects lower right side oa the motor up to a connection at the top of the air duct. From their it runs over to a connection to the rear and below the EGR valve. the connection a repaired was the one behind the EGR valve. It was in two pieces and almost looked like it was fried apart. Do I have something developing that I should be concerned about?

Re: 02 Escape 3.0 Vacuum circuit.

I believe I've got it. The vacuum circuit I described above supplies filtered air through the air input tube to both valve covers in support PCV system. Correct me if I'm wrong.
