PCV Oil Separator

I recently heard of a PCV Oil Separator that keeps the oil from entering into the intake and gumming things up. Does anyone have any experience with these...do I really need one?

if the engine has been using non synthetic engine oil and its burning the conventional oil the blowby crankcase gases do create carbon build up in the TB/intake manifold.. the oil separators do work well ..

if you use synthetic and go 10K miles on oil changes and use less than 1/2 qt of oil during this use , no need for it ..
