New key fob programming
We have a 2007 Caliber and one of the keys got misplaced or lost,so now I'm looking at buying a new key fob.My question is do I need to take the key fob and car to someone who can program the new fob or can I do it myself? I watched a couple videos on YouTube and one showed the self programming method while the other showed using a programmer.Does the DIY method really work?

Re: New key fob programming
It looks like the only way the DIY method works is if you already have two working keys and want to add a third. If you only have one and want to add a second you have to go to a dealer or locksmith with the ability to program.
