2006 Rav4 dies and won't restart
I have a 2006 Rav4 and sometimes it will just die usually when at slower speeds. When you try to restart it it will just turn over but not fire. when you turn the key on there are no gauge light no odometer and the fuel gauge don't work and neither does the radio the all of a sudden some of the lights come on and it will start but runs real rough and the gas gauge and radio don't work but other gauges do work then when the radio and fuel gauge start to work then the car runs smooth and you can drive again and it may take 20 miles before this happens again
I found the problem was a bad ground wire that ran from the engine to the right fender. Thanks for all the help. Last edited by Lee Haffner; 02-27-2017 at 05:54 AM. |

Check your alternator. It will give you many strange electrical symptoms if it is not putting out 14V or more at 2000 rpm.

It almost sounds like an ignition switch issue.
