Verify that the original solenoids are the same resistance as their replacements.
Well the problem with that is I pitched the originals in the trash already (something I normally never do but just my luck I did it the one time I shouldn't have) so I can't really verify that. I do know the new ones cane from Napa and "are for my 94 4L80E"... With that being said though you very well could be right that I have the wrong solenoids. I say this because I also got my torque converter clutch PWM Solenoid from them for a 94 17 bolt pan 4L80E... It was the wrong one, and their computer didn't even show the right one I needed. I had to go to O'Reilly to get it.

Re: 4L80E problems

Update: I ordered some parts (all AC Delco) so I knew for a fact they were correct.... Installed and she runs great now!.... I replaced both A and B shift solenoids, the trans oil temp sensor, and the TPS.... After doing that the pickup runs as to be expected and does go into overdrive as well.

We will see as time goes on if the "power" I have stays consistent. If it does great.... If not then I need to keep doing some investigating.

Re: 4L80E problems

That beats an unnecessary trans rebuild. Glad it's working.

I hope you followed jCat's other advice and topped off with Dexron VI instead of III. The Dex 6 is a semi synthetic formulation and will provide better overall service.
