Mystery noise
I have a 2013 Kia Sportage. I have a scraping and thumping noise coming from the front end of my car. I can only hear it when the steering wheel is straight while coasting or lightly applying the brakes from around 45 mph all the way to a complete stop. It goes away when I accelerate, brake hard, or turn the steering left or right. I just changed the brake pads 3 weeks ago. Just looking for some ideas on what to check tomorrow. Could it be the wheel bearing? Any ideas would be helpful, thanks!

Re: Mystery noise
Check your backing plates behind the rotor. One could barely be making contact with a rotor.
