Heater hose driver side puffed up and ready to rupture

I have a 1995 ford taurus with a 3.0 engine; on the driver side the heater hose rubber is swelled up and ready to rupture. I want to replace both the inlet and outlet side. The problem is there is hose clamps on the heater core side and crimped hose clamp fittings on the tubing manifold side. I want to know what is the best way to cut the crimped fittings or just plane remove them from the pipe. Any help would be greatly appreciated, frank

If there is a crimped fitting onto a metal pipe, then the pipe and hose probably get replaced as a unit. If you REALLY want to cut that fitting off, I've use an air powered cut-off wheel to do so, but extreme care must be taken not to damage the pipe or anything else in the the area. Check with your local parts store to see how that hose is serviced.

Re: Heater hose driver side puffed up and ready to rupture

I have already purchased the inlet and out hoses to the heater core that runs from the heater piping. The heating hose assembly is all one piece consisting 5 crimped rubber hoses to metal piping. Each section has its own rubber hose.i will be replacing the two hoses from the heater core to pipes #1 and pipes #2. The rest of the assembly is in good shape.; all i have to do is get past those two crimped fitting. Thanks for the post frank
